QAWWALI IN INDIA

2016 saw Fanna-Fi-Allah touring through India, Pakistan, the UK, Canada and America. They began with a successful tour in India through February 2016 including headlining the World Sacred Spirit Festival in Jodphur with Ajmeri qawwals - Ustads Zakir and Zaki Ali. they also performed at the Sufi Festival at Nizamuddin Shrine in Delhi, the Islamic Cultural Centre in Delhi, and the Taali Ho Festival (Bhopal). They also performed in Mumbai at the Dargah of Haji Ali).

Tahir and Aminah began their journey into qawwali music in Ajmer, India back in 2000. Most of the group undertake regular trips there to study classical music and to perform qawwali. They have visited and played at the sufi shrines of Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (Mehrauli, Delhi), Moinuddin Chishti (Ajmer), Ali Ahmad Sabir (Kaliar), Haji Ali (Mumbai) and their favourite Nizamuddin (Delhi).
